Elmira's First Day of the Dead, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 in downtown Elmira. Vendors, food trucks, trick-or-treating, donations for Elmira Animal Center collected, and much more. Hosted by Los Panchos Mexican Restaurant.

2023 Chemung River Friends Annual Meeting, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at their new office in Suite 8, Midtown 111 Building, 111 N. Main St. in Elmira. Light refreshments, giveaways and sale items. Jim Pfiffer presents: The History of Chemung River Friends, the annual report will be presented, volunteer recognition and more.

Howl-O-Ween Party, 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Atwater Vineyards, 5055 State Rt. 414 in Burdett. Astro Hawk will be spinning spooky tunes, costume contests for dogs and people with special prizes, Dogs of the Finger Lakes will be vending, La Monarka Mexican Food Truck on site, 2-7 p.m. Visit link to learn more.
