PRESS RELEASE:
The Elmira Aviators are proud to announce the hiring of Leeor Shtrom as the team's new Head Coach, bringing leadership, energy, and a deep passion for player development to the organization. A native of Montreal, QC Canada, Shtrom played Division I hockey at Union College, where he was recognized for his leadership and strong work ethic.

Following his collegiate career, he went on to play professionally in the ECHL, gaining valuable experience and insight that he now brings behind the bench. Shtrom joins the Aviators with a proven track record of success and a reputation for cultivating competitive, disciplined, and team-first hockey.
Known for his dedication to mentorship and attention to detail, Shtrom has built his coaching philosophy around accountability, communication, and respect - core values that align perfectly with the Aviators' organizational pillars of responsibility, integrity, courage, respect, an accountability. "We are thrilled to welcome Leeor to Elmira," said Eddy Lowe, President of Hockey Operations. "His approach to the game and his ability to connect with players both on and off the ice will have an immediate impact on our culture and our success."
Prior to joining the Aviators, Shtrom served in key coaching and development roles at both the youth and collegiate levels, where he consistently emphasized player growth, skill development, and competitive readiness. His blend of hockey knowledge and strong communication skills has earned him respect across the hockey community. "I'm honored to join the Elmira Aviators organization," said Coach Shtrom. "This team has tremendous potential, and I'm excited to help our players grow, compete, and represent Elmira with pride. Together, we'll build something special for our fans and the community
The Aviators will continue their homestand, when they host the visiting Danbury Hat Tricks Friday October 24th and Saturday October 25th. Puck drop is at 7:00 PM.
